We took a big trip last week. We went to Orlando Florida for a week of Harry Potter and playing at the beach.
The kids took their first airplane ride. It was really exciting for the first 20 minutes, then the excitement wore off as we tried to sleep. We got on the plane at midnight and flew through the night and got to Orlando at 6am.
We didn't let our exhaustion slow us down we went straight to Universal Studios. This is Sirius Black's house number 12 Grimmauld Place with Creature peaking out the window.
Diagon Alley was so much fun here is Jack in the wizarding world. Gringotts Bank is behind him with a big dragon on the top. The dragon would breath fire every 15 minutes and the fire was so hot it felt like your face was melting.
Platform 9 3/4. We are off to Hogsmeade.
The train ride between the two parks was so much fun. They played scenes out the window of different things that happen on the way to Hogswart like the Dementors getting on the train. It was different scenes going the other way so it was pretty cool.
Hogsmeade Village. I loved the snow on the roofs.
The shops were so much fun to look in the windows and go in and shop.
In front of Hogswart castle. The castle was fabulous complete with talking pictures, a trip to Dumbledores office, and a peak into the defense against the Dark Arts classroom.
Here is the phoenix that guards the way to Dumbledore's office.
Since we were in the wizarding world we had to try the pumpkin juice. It tasted like a pumpkin cider and was pretty good.
