Santa will you bring me....

We went to visit Santa last night ...

Aiden brought his Mickey Hands and personality to Santa this year and asked him for cash.

Jack asked for a motor scooter and a helicopter.

Eliza has her eye on a Furby and things to craft.

And here they all are in all their cuteness!! I just love these monkeys!

Jack turned 6

I have been asking, no begging Jack not to turn six but he did it anyway!! He got to celebrate his birthday for two days because his birthday was on Sunday and then he had a friend party on Monday. He was a happy, spoiled boy.

Here he is at Grandma's Liston's house blowing out his six year old candle. Oh, I love my Jack.

He is as happy as a clam.

That morning he got to open a real tool set, some big boot action figures and a monster truck that he could build with his new tools.

Here are Jack and Russell after they finished building his truck. And yes that is another cast! This time camo. We went to get it taken off a couple of weeks ago and they said it wasn't ready so on came another one. It has been a long few months with this broken arm!

So yesterday we had his friend party and I didn't quite think it out. Jack had to get a tooth pulled in the morning and he was not doing great. He didn't go to school and in fact he fell asleep like this for an hour. I was getting worried, but after he woke up he felt a lot better and was ready to party.

We set the table cute and got the cupcakes ready to be eaten.

We played all kinds of games including "Jack Simon Says"

Opened presents...

Put on mustaches...

We decorated the cupcakes with little mustaches and had the best party ever. Happy Birthday Jack!!

Aiden is 12

Aiden turned 12 on November 30!  We took a fun picture of Aiden at his 144 month mark...

He wanted another cabin trip with his friends for his big day so we opened presents at the house and then headed up to the cabin for a fun afternoon of pizza, candy and games. Aiden doesn't like cake so we put a candle in a banana for him to blow out while we sang to him.

He got tons of candy for his birthday and this wad was just from the Toponce's!!

Here are the boys that came to the party and Aiden is enjoying his new hat from Grandma and Grandpa Jaussi.

At the cabin the boys really got into the card game scum and played most of the afternoon. Aiden said he loved his birthday and had such a great time with his friends and then family later that night for dinner. And then on Sunday he received the priesthood and became a deacon. I can hardly believe that he is so grown up!! Love you Aiden.

October

The month of October was busy and fun.

Aiden had and Egyptian funeral at school. He was the god Bes and my mom made him an awesome costume to wear for it. He said that it was the best activity he has ever done in school.

We carved pumpkins. It took us two nights to carve this year and we ended up carving 8 pumpkins including the two big ones from Grandpa Jaussi.

Eliza dressed up as Peter Pan for the Halloween parade at school. She looked so cute.

Jack one of the Three Musketeer's.  I would say he was the cute one.  The mustache was awesome.

Here are my spooks ready for Trick or Treating. Eliza had a costume change and went as a mummy for the evening. Aiden said he was a ranger from the book The Ranger's Apprentice, he was actually kind of sick so he didn't really care too much.  But he did manage to pull it together and go out with his friends.

Eliza and Paige. The mummy and the Magician. I remember when they were pretty princesses!

Oh, and another fun event this month...Jack broke his arm again. Same arm, same place and another five weeks in a cast. But this time he chose blue.

We had a very spooky Halloween. Eliza plays a mummy very well.

Huntington Beach

The last three days of our vacation was spent at a beach house in Huntington Beach.  My goal for this year was to learn to surf...and I did! Russell and I took a lesson and both rode some waves so it was awesome. We broke our camera after the first day at the beach, so I personally don't have a picture of it, but my mom has some. So this was our first day there, it was actually the warmest day as well.

Here is Jack with a broken arm and a boogie board.  The house we stayed at had four boogie boards, a surf board, chairs, umbrellas, sand toys and a wagon to haul it all to the beach with. It was perfect.

Aiden

My mom and dad taking it easy in the shade. I was so happy that they could come and play with us. It was the best.  At night we played Settlers of Catan and Quirkle, had yummy food and enjoyed every minute of it.

Russell and I hit the boogie boards. It was so much fun! The ocean was cold at first but as soon as you got in it was perfect.

 Jack taking a dip.

Aiden and me catching some waves.

Russell.

More boogie boarding.

One last shot of Aiden and I with Huntington Beach pier in the back ground. One night we strolled down it and saw a seal swimming underneath. We also saw a sting ray that a fisherman had caught. I was glad that we did not see a great white shark, I watched shark week this summer and I am just saying it was on my mind. :) I am so glad that we got to spend the week together in California. It was the perfect vacation.

Disneyland...Last Day

On the last day the boys wanted to train to be Jedi's, and they both got picked. Eliza and Grandpa took another spin on Autotopia while they boys did their thing.

Jack with his Jedi robe.

Aiden is all ready to fight.

He got to fight Darth Mal

So did Jack! They both loved it.

Aiden with the Mad Hatter and Alice

Hanging with Donald. I love our photo bomber in the background.

Hanging out with Minnie, who was all dressed up in her Halloween costume.

 Woody.

Jack and Goofy. It was fun to be there during Halloween Time with all of the decorations and costumes.

Aiden's souvenir was a pair of Mickey hands.

They boys with Aladdin.

Jack got a Donald Duck mouth that included a duck call. It was super funny and super loud.  He got a lot of smiles as he was walking down the street quacking away.

As we were just about done for the day we got a final picture with Mickey.  The perfect way to end our Disneyland adventure.

California Adventure

Day two brought us to California Adventure. The Car's racing ride was awesome and so was World of Color show at night.  The only crowded place in the whole park was Cars Land, every other ride we could just walk right on.

This picture is a little out of order, but here is beautiful Eliza taking a break.

We stopped in at Disneyland for a minute and took a couple of pictures before heading over to California Adventure.  Here is our fabulous group in front of Mickey.

Here are the five of us. I love that I made the kids wear fanny packs.  They carried their autograph books, their money and a few snacks. I think it worked out perfectly.

 Eliza, Jack and Ariel...

The kids with Minnie.

Self portrait on Tow Mater's ride...it was kind of like the tea cups just not as spinney.

This was Tow Mater's petting zoo, a little piggy tractor.  It was cute.

My mom and dad and Eliza and Jack on Grizzly River Run.  We did it twice and were soaked! But it was super fun.

The kids met Doug from Up

The we went to a show and became Adventure Scouts. After the show we met Russell.  I couldn't resist taking a picture of Russell meeting Russell.

This was incredible :)

Goofy was dressed really nice when we met him

Eliza couldn't be out done by her brothers and got herself a big sucker too.

Jack really wanted to ride the trolley down main street in California Adventure so we did.

This is probably the best picture of the trip!
