Bourbon Lake

Russell and I woke up Friday morning and decided we needed to go backpacking. Unfortunately Eliza and Aiden had to work. We still wanted to go so we said so long to the big kids and took our Jack with us.

We left after Russell got home from work and got to the trailhead around 8pm.

This was a new trail for us, it was kinda steep but we only had to go a mile and a half.

After 50 minutes we made it to Bourbon Lake.

And we were greeted my a moose!

It got cold that night, and the bugs were bad but we had a fun campfire and watched a movie. The next morning we went and explored. We found a fun water fall that was running under this tree.

This was the mountain backdrop of the lake.

 Me and my boy

 Awesome, the view and Jack

This is how Jack likes to fish

Russell caught a little guy

So did Jack and so did I

James and Rebecca came up for a day hike and found us

So fun with these two!

 Whiskey Creek was beautiful

Of course we had to stop for burgers and shakes on the way home!

Jaussi Reunion

Jaussi reunion 2020! My parents are back from their Mission in Russia and we had the whole family together for four fun filled days!

We had matching Tevas. Abbie and Dana, Eliza and Hallie

Cuties!

Megan was in charge of the reunion this year and she had us do an Amazing Race around Idaho Falls and Ammon. She gave us envelopes with pictures, we had to find the place and then take a picture by it. Here are a couple of highlights

It was family against family and we had so much fun.

But in the end Curtis and his family won. I say unfair advantage because they live in the town :)

Megan's baby Miles was the highlight of the weekend. I could not get enough of him, but I had to share sometimes.

We played games and had a bar be que. Maelee and Aiden won a game and each got a dollar!!

Sunday we had a really nice Sacrament Meeting and then went to Warm River to feed the fish.

Then we went to Mesa Falls. Maelee, Jack and Jace

We set up nine square and had a blast playing whenever we had a second. The sky was amazing!

Miles and his coke. He has such and addiction!

Monday we went to Lava Hot Springs. Jack and Jace on the highest platform 33 feet ready to jump!

Aiden coming off of the water slide!

Jace and Jack floating down the river.

Eliza and Abbie having a great time.

Kenny and Megan ready to go

 Grandpa and Makia

Tricia and Shane are ready to party

Miles!

The grandkids went on a deer hunt and all found and fuzzy friend to take home. Grandma and Grandpa with all of their grandkids. One more grandkid to make his appearance in August. What a great group!

We were up their on Father's Day so it was really fun to spend the day with my dad, husband, brothers and brothers in law who are all amazing dads!

Pre Jaussi Reunion - Tetons

We had our Jaussi Family reunion and before it started Russell and I said that anyone who wanted to join us for a hike around Jenny Lake in the Tetons was welcome.

This was the crew! A few of them took the boat and met us half way across the lake with our lunch. So that was fun. The 8 mile trek wasn't for everyone.

The Tetons are amazing and so is this family of mine.

Natalie and Mckay left Utah at 4:30 am so that they could join us.

Eliza

Picture perfect, just ask Shane!

Cousins! Jace, Bowen and Jack.

Russell and me in front of the Tetons.

I want to go back and explore some more. It was so pretty!

 Aiden

Shane and Russell wanted to bring back the vintage duck bill Patagonia hats...and they did!

The crew! Our family plus Shane, Jace, Natalie, Mckay, Nate, Shanntel, Bowen, Eberlee, and Makia!

Nate and Shanntel.

 I love this!

Lunch! It was fun to have our lunch ferried over to us.

After we ate we went up to Hidden Falls and my Dad and Tricia joined us for this bit.

 The water was impressive.

Jack and Makia wore their hats!

 Tricia and Dana

Jack is not afraid of getting wet.

We saw a fox on the trail and he was not one bit bothered by us.

Another group shot.

Have I mentioned that it was gorgeous?

We hit the pavement and finished the hike. It was an easy hike, kinda long but so beautiful
