Clyde Lake

We went on an overnight backpacking trip last weekend to Clyde Lake. We had perfect weather, perfect kids and the perfect hike!

Here we are on starting out on the trail. Aiden carried a lot more this year, including a tent for him and Jack to sleep in. We are all too big to cram into a four person tent now.

It was so pretty up there the wildflowers were in bloom and everything was so green.

This was the second lake we came to called Cliff Lake and it was gorgeous.

Another lake we passed was Wall Lake. The kids were such great hikers, no complaining. And there were some good uphill climbs along the way.

Here is Eliza with the beautiful wildflowers and pretty Wall Lake behind her.

Aiden had the fishing touch this year. He caught four small fish and kept three. We roasted them in the fire and ate them for a late evening snack.

This is Clyde Lake.  You can see Eliza down there just past the trees. It was such a pretty place to camp.

Aiden and Jack fishing away.

Isn't Jack so cute!!

Eliza and Russell getting ready to make dinner. I will post some more pictures about our second day's adventures.

A few more pics...

I just wanted to post a few more pictures from our Jaussi family reunion. I was able to take pictures the first night on my camera and then it died, so these are some of the ones that I got and love.

Here is my little brother Curtis grilling up some burgers for us. They were delicious! Curtis did a lot for the reunion, made a kickball field in his backyard, cooked, found and set up a projector for the outdoor movie and was super fun :) I didn't get a picture of Colette but she opened up her house to our wild group for an afternoon of fun and let me hold baby Cayson the whole weekend!!

The Eyring Family... I love that Megan and Kenny always wear a matching shirt during our reunions and this time Bennet joined the family so he got one too. They also did tons for the party, made s'mores, and a slush drink, and played games with everyone.

Natalie and her daddy Shane. What a cute pair!!

Little Cameron had cars in his hands the whole weekend.

Tricia and Jack.
Tricia organized and planned everything and she did such a great job. We had tons of activities and great food and fabulous fun. Thanks Tricia!!
I didn't get a picture of Nate and Shantell but they were tons of fun to be with and were such good sports especially since Shantell had a baby the next week! And of course my Mom and Dad who are always so gracious and kind. They let us come and destroy their house, hooked us up with Bear World, gave us t shirts, my mom made her famous cinnamon rolls and did so much more that I can't even mention.
I think Meg is the only one who reads this out of my family...but I love you guys!! I am glad we had such a fun weekend together.

The Summer So Far

Well here we are in the middle of summer and we have been doing some fun things.
The big thing we did so far this summer is going to Idaho for a Jaussi Family Reunion.

Here we are with our t-shirts that my mom, Curtis and Colette made for us to be matching. It was the perfect shirt for the 4th of July to wear to the parade and the fireworks. I can't believe we have such a big family now! And we just added Nate and Shantell's baby Eberlee last week!

The Liston's brought it with a wonderful lip sync dance to America by Neil Diamond. We even had sparkly scarfs, I mean it was a highlight that nobody saw coming.

The Jaussi girl cousins at the afternoon luau party. They are all co cute! We played water kickball and volleyball and had a delicious lunch. The reunion also took us to Bear World, we had a outdoor movie, games, Cayson's. baby blessing and tons of other fun things. I love my family!

Another adventure was the newly remodeled Bean Museum. With graphic displays :)

Swimming has been huge around here like always. Here is Jack in his level 4 class that he passed off at the Scera.

Aiden and Kyler at swim team

Eliza and Paige also at swim team...Eliza is rocking the swim cap.

For activity days the girls made doll beds. Cut out the wood, nailed them together, stained them, and made the bedding. It took six months but totally worth it. Eliza was so happy with her finished product.

We repainted our living room wall and are going to get two new chairs.

Jack and Eliza and the cousins sold cherries for a few days. Jack was the most dedicated and earned 50 dollars! Not too shabby.

Aiden and Russell are on a backpacking trip for the scouts right now. And Aiden also went to a week of scout camp.
So we have been keeping busy, but I hope to get a few more trips in before school starts!!
