Cascade Mountain

Russell has been talking about hiking up Cascade Mountain for years.
We finally decided to to it.
It was only going to be like 4 miles, it would be hard but two miles up and two miles down we could do it.
7.5 hours later we made it back to the car.
It was soooo hard!

At the top Russell had to wait for me a lot but we did it.

I will never do it again, but Russell will if you want to go!

Jaussi Reunion

We had a great time at the Jaussi Family Reunion

Nathan was in charge and he planned a great long weekend. We went to Heise Hot Springs and camped there for two nights. We swam at the pool all day one day, we did some golfing, ate pizza at the restaurant, had fires, played 9 square.
Curtis and I swimming it up

We found a cool truck to take a picture by and Aiden is looking good!

So is Jack!

Me and my Mom

Liza and her Dad

I sure do love this little family of mine

After the campout we went back to Ammon and stayed at my parents house for a couple more days. There were a lot of games being played.

We went to the Rodeo one night and it was breast cancer awareness night and Eliza wrote my name down on a sign. So sweet.

The Rodeo Crew

We set nine square back up in the back yard and Aiden was showing no mercy. Grandpa was great at it!

The Grandkids read to go on a Bear Hunt!

They were successful! Look at all of these cute Jaussi cousins!

We also got to go to Cayson and Eberlee's baptism! That was really great for all of us to be there for that. What cute kids!
 We clean up pretty good.
All of my parent's kids and grandkids and great-grandkid were there for the reunion and it was so much fun!

A Few More Pictures

The Titcomb Basin was so pretty
I am so glad that we went to check this place out. Hopefully we will go back and do some more exploring here

Our camp

I am ready to hit trail

The steam coming off of the ground was so cool

The Wind Rivers are amazing

Taking a break

I slipped on wet trail and got all muddy so I washed my pants out in the lake

It rained quite a bit over the weekend. Here we are waiting for it to pass.
The second night it rained for hours so we all had to hang out in our tents all night.

We found snow in the the basin

Russell took some fabulous pictures

What a place!

I love hiking with this guy

Titcomb Basin

The hiking club did a 3 night backpacking trip to the Titcomb Basin in the Wind River Range.
It was so much fun.
The scenery was amazing.

The group: Jim and Diane, Layne and Joleen, Jennefer and Roger, Jim and Janell and Gene and Rachel,
and Russell and Dana

Strong ladies carrying our packs 26 miles!

Here we are hiking a long the trail

There were five of us that went all the way to the basin. On our way we found this awesome sandy beach.

It was worth the extra 5 miles for sure!

Hiking with this group is so much fun!

I love a good backpacking trip.

We did get the rain and hail again this year. I am so glad we carry the umbrellas!

Janell, Joleen and me soaking our feet in the basin

A beautiful waterfall.

We had do go for a dip in Barbara Lake. We had some cold wet weather but this day was perfect.

I love that Russell even got in!

What a great adventure! We camped by three beautiful lakes and had such a fun time seeing this new part of the world.
