Last Friday afternoon we hike to the tippy top of Mt. Timpanogos! The whole family. It was fun, hard, and a huge accomplishment. We started hiking at 3pm on Friday afternoon and got back to the car at 1am Saturday morning. We were on the trail for 10 hours and hiked 15 miles!
Here we are fresh and ready to hit the trail. We were so hot for the first hour because the shade had not hit the trail yet. Jack had a stomach ache for the first mile that almost ended our trip, but thankfully he got feeling better.
Eliza and Aiden by a dried up waterfall that looked so cool. A fairy garden for sure.
Me by a waterfall that was not dried up.
Jack in the front and Eliza sitting in the back. When you bag a peak the trail goes up the whole time! And it was a good climb. We took quite a few breaks. We made it to the top in 5 and a half hours.
Aiden with our destination behind him.
While we were hiking we hiked through a heard of Mountain Goats! It was the highlight for sure. I bet there were sixty or more right on and by the trail.

At the top! What an accomplishment. Eliza was done after we saw the mountain goats she started to cry a bit and wanted to go home. Hiking mountains is definitely a mental as well as a physical game. From the saddle to the top (a mile or more) Russell held her had and told her she could do it. And she did!!
The tin shack at the top. Jack was the first one in the family to make it to the top.
This is Eliza and I at the saddle (a little out of order) where she was done. We had to get to the peak in the back ground.
Eliza and I at the peak!
Until next time little mountain goat!
