Kings Peak

Over the weekend we went to the top of Utah. Kings Peak. We left Thursday and came back Saturday and hiked 28 miles in between.

Here we are fresh and ready for our 8 mile backpack in to our camp. Russell, me, Jennefer, Tom, Joleen, Layne, Jim and Janell (Roger taking the picutre).

A good shot of our backpacking skills.

Russell and I taking a photo opportunity. This was about 4 miles in.

Tom is so funny, his wife didn't come but he still wanted a cute picture too.

We got to cross this fun bridge over a river.

We ran into a bit of rain on our hike so we all put on our ponchos, but then the rain stopped and we and to peel off the rain gear so we wouldn't be too hot. We are almost to our camp at this point...a couple of more miles.

It was really pretty country to hike in. We only saw a couple of other people on the trail all day. But we did see 7 moose!! All within about a mile of each other. That is a lot of moose.

Here I am with Kings Peak in the background. It is the pointy one!
