The next morning there was no rain!
We got up early before the sun and hit the trail.
Aiden, Troy and Jack are ready to go. We all were hoping to make it to the top but Aiden was determined and said I am getting to the top no matter what!

Here we go! 13 miles and 6,000 feet of elevation gain.
Aiden and the Tetons
We had to cross a lot of boulder fields. Russell taking in the view.
Russell was our trail leader, he planned the trip so we could curse him when it was hard!
Russell and the boys, the peak with the could covering it is where we are headed.
The family that hikes together, stays together :)
The first three miles of the hike was on a nice dirt path, but definitely up hill!
Layne and Aiden checking out the bear we saw! Layne's face says it all. The bear was eating and did not even look up at us.
Girls on a hike! Diane, Janell, Dana, Eliza, Paige and Joleen
Aiden and Eliza
Jack checking out the mountain
Jack the brave one who wore shorts.
Hiking up these rocks and gravel bits was no joke
We had to cross a three snow fields and on the way back down they were icy and slick.
We had to find an hour detour on one of them on the way back because it was too dangerous. Aiden went down snow to check it out and after he did it we all said "no way"

The top of the saddle. There were a lot of false saddles, we would think we were almost there and nope not yet. So when we got to the saddle we were so happy. From the saddle is a half mile to the top with 2,000 feet of elevation gain. It took us four hours to do 1 mile (up and back)
