On Top of the World-or the Middle Teton

So we had to hike up a couloir for a half a mile. We wore helmets so rocks would not fall on our heads. It was sooooo steep! But we all made it.

Russell and Eliza

Aiden waiting for us

These two were the rockstars of the group. They hiked to the top so fast. Then waited for us, we weren't coming so they started heading down and found us. I told them they had to go back up with us to get pictures and they did! So strong!!

Looking over the edge

The views were amazing!

Eliza

Literally on top of the world

Janell touching the top. She is the best person to hike with. So positive and can talk your ear off so you don't think about the miles. :)

Me and my girl.

This is nuts

We did it! We didn't stay long because it started to snow and rain!

I was so happy that I did it with my cute family

me and Janell

Joleen and I heading down some slushy snow

The boys got really cold because it rained on us for a while. Luckily Russell came prepared with garbage sack rain skirts and ponchos!
It did clear up after awhile and the rest of the hike was great weather going down

Eliza with the sun setting behind her,
We started in the dark and ended in the dark. It took us 17 hours!! We thought 14 hours would be the absolute longest we would be out there. But that is ok that we were slow, we did it!!
When we got back to the tent that night my body went into shock! I was shaking and actually threw up. It was rough. But by the next morning I was fine.
That was the biggest hike I have ever done and looking back on it I am so glad that we did it!
