We went on an over night backpacking trip with Layne and Joleen's family, our neighbors the Johnson's and Jack brought his friend Chase.
We stopped at the Provo River Falls to check it out before heading up to the trailhead
Cute kids!
The weather was bad driving up rain and hail and when we got to the trailhead it was still raining. Then there was a break in the clouds and we all jumped out of the car and started hiking.
Ready for another night in the back country
We had a big community dinner that Russell prepared for everyone.
Aiden caught the biggest fish in the Uintahs. And we ate it.
Russell making our dinner...pork tacos. They were so good.
Aiden needed a boost and a head chair to hang his hammock. Good thing Cole was there.
It was still a little rainy after dinner so they kids hung out under the tarp.
We weren't suppose to have a fire because the danger had been high all year but after the soaking rain we thought it would be ok to have a small one. This was not a small one.
The next morning the sun was shining and the kids wanted to go cliff jumping. Here are Eliza and Sophia jumping into the cold water.
Aiden taking it to the next level with style.
Jack and the Johnson's friend, I forgot his name, taking a turn.

It was another great trip into the mountains that we love.
