Summer Odds and Ends

 We have had a fun filled summer so far. I love, love, love summer.  I don't have to worry about helping the kids with homework, we have had a lot of family time, friend time and relaxing time.

We had a new family move into the ward and Jack has loved hanging out with their boys. They took him to their cabin one afternoon and they shot pot guts and did boy things and he loved it.

Aiden is working as a lifeguard at the Scera Pool again this summer. Jack and Troy and I went swimming when he was on duty and he really liked it. You can tell by the look on his face. He has enjoyed it and I have loved that he can drive himself to work this year.

I binge watched Park and Recreation this summer and Russell ordered me a real surprise present.  A Li'l Sebastian Shirt. He really knows a way to a girl's heart. It made me very happy.

 Aiden and Russell went on a backpacking trip to Silver Lake in American Fork Canyon with the priests. Here is Aiden with Ethan and Chade. They had a great time.

They had to wake up early before everyone else and hike out so Aiden could get to work.

 Aiden on the hike out. They got to see two moose on their way down the mountain so that was cool.

One night we hiked up to the second waterfall on the Timpanogos trail. It was a beautiful night.

Eliza and her friend Alex really had fun together on the hike. Then we of course had to stop for suckers at Sundance on the way home. I love little outings like that.

We have also gone up Provo Canyon a couple of times to eat dinner and play around for Family Night. Here are my sweet kids enjoying a tin foil dinner and Cream Sodas.

Russell cooked a delicious dinner over the hot coals.

Eliza and Jack are doing swim team at the Scera again. They get up every morning and ride their bikes to practice.

 They have had three meets so far. Here is Jack ready to start the freestyle.

This last meet they both won heat winner ribbons. I was very happy for them both.

Eliza and I also have gone to Girl's Camp.

Russell took Jack with him overnight when he went to Scout Camp.

We had an awesome 4th of July picnic at Jane's house.

We went swimming with the Toponce's in Kearns and Jace and Jack jumped off a 33 foot platform.

Summer is the best!!
