After the holidays January seems to be a month that we just have to get through...but this year we had a great time! I went snowboarding for the first time in 15 years! And I did so much better this time, even Russell was impressed.
Aiden has a season pass this year and so Russell and I went up with him on a Saturday. He stayed with us for about 3 minutes and then he took off for some real fun with Kyler. I am glad we at least got a picture :)
Now I did do awesome, but I also fell down a lot.
Somehow the boys met up with us at lunch time, what a good looking bunch! John, Kyler and Aiden.
I love Russell, he is so patient. I know that he could have been going on crazy hard runs, but he stayed with me on the little slopes all day. We had such a fun day together.
A couple of Saturdays later we hiked the Y. Oh ya, we went hiking in the middle of January with short sleeves and no snow on the trail. We did not get a lot of snow last month. Here are Russell and Jack.
Aiden and Eliza did not want to come with us, they wanted to hang out with friends. But Jack is still our little buddy and he was the best hiker! I don't know what we will do when Jack gets too cool for us! Yes his hair is blue, thanks to Eliza's blue hair chalk.
We made it to the Y! Does is look like January?
Here we are on the way back down.
What a awesome pose!
Then last Saturday we were in the snow again, sledding up at the cabin. Here is Eliza taking a wild ride down the hill!
Here is baby Luke crawling along the snow.
Jack and Jace had a blast, even if Jack's face isn't showing it. Aiden was at youth conference and it felt weird not to have him there with us. My kids are growing up and while I do love this stage it feels weird not to have them with us all of the time.
And here is Russell. He took a couple of trips down the hill and drove his remote control car around. So from snowboarding, hiking and sledding we packed a lot of fun into January. And now we get to look forward to Russell's birthday in 5 days.

You guys had an awesome Jan. Mine was definitely a "try to get through it" kind of month.
