Jumping Off

I think that one of the things that Russell loves best about be is how I can not judge things by how tall they are, by how long they are or by how wide they are. (I also have a hard time finding places but that is for another day.) When it snows and we are outside shoveling I say, "how many feet of snow is out here?" and he says "about two inches", you know things like that.  Well over the holidays we decided to go swimming at the Provo Rec Center. Russ hadn't been there so I was describing to him the rock platform that is fun to jump from. "It is 15 feet high," I said. Russell looked at me and said, "15 feet? That is super high."
"I know!" I said. "Like I got butterflies in my stomach when I jumped off it."
"Wow" he said, "I can't wait to see it."
As we were driving down the freeway he pointed to an over pass and said, "So, that platform is just a little bit shorter than that?"
With all the confidence in the world I said, "Ya, that looks about right."
So, we walk into the pool and he looks and the platform and then looks at me and I said, "Oh, maybe it isn't 15 feet high."
He just smiled and said, "Well it still looks like fun."
And it was!

Here  I am jumping from the not 15 foot high platform and I still had
                                                                      butterflies

That is just like me! Kenny has to really break it down for me when we are talking about measurements. Luckily he is patient with me.
