Lake Powell!!

Russell and I got to go on the best trip the first of October. Our neighbors Karen and Gene Robison invited us and four other couples to go to Lake Powell for a week. It was one of the best trips I have ever been on.

These pictures aren't in order but that is ok. We ate like kings the whole week.  Everyone took turns making meals and we ate most of our dinners on the top deck. It was the perfect temperature and such a fun place to eat.

Joleen and Layne were there and that was awesome. This big table fit all 12 of us for meals.

Russell was a nature with the water sports. Here he is slalom skiing. He had not done it since he was a teenager and he got up and went around the lake.

This is me trying to surf. Oh ya, I never did get up.

Unpacking in our luxury houseboat. Two big fridges, a pepple ice maker, a nice big living room with another couch not pictured. Six sleeping rooms, three bathrooms and anything you could possibly need to have a great time.

Janell driving us into our camp.

Shannon Walker and me going through the "cut" eating chocolate and enjoying every minute of it.

Russell surfing like a champ. And he also wakeboarded. Like I said he was all over the lake. He is so athletic. He made me a little jealous. :)

Since I couldn't surf, I enjoyed jumping off of the back of the boat and going down the slide.

Mike and Shannon Walker cruising the kayak around.

Shannon and I had a few floating sessions. The water was so warm and the air temperature was not hot just perfect.

Here I go!

Some more floating

This is where Russ and I slept. It was a great room.

This was awesome. The boat had dish network so we watched all of conference! What could be better than a weekend of the gospel with wonderful people who believe the same as we do. It was really cool.

The perfect place to relax. We played a lot of games, watched movies and talked and laughed all week.

Gene's motor boat fit all 12 of us comfortably, so one day we went for a long boat ride to Rainbow Bridge. Jim and Diane Wannamaker Bell are in the front, Mike getting in Gene untying the buoy, me and Janell at the back.

A short mile hike to this beautiful spot. This was the hottest I felt all week.

Russell and Dana

Russell looking good.

Mike and Shannon as we were boating through a fun slot canyon.

The boat was called "Livin' the Dream" and we were!

My swimming suit matched the colors of Lake Powell.

The ladies: Shannon, Diane, Janell, Joleen Dana and Karen
The gentlemen: Layne, Jim, Jim, Gene, Russell and Mike
Fun fact Gene was Russell's Priest Leader when Russ was 16 now we are still in the same ward and hanging out. So great!

Another opportunity to jump in the lake. Dana, Shannon, Janell, Diane and Joleen

We found a little cliff to jump off of. Getting ready and then going!!!

Russell saw how much fun the girls were having so he wanted a turn.

It sure was nice spending so much time with my babe.

I would party with the Wannamaker-Bell's, Walker's, Burgon's, Liston's, and Robison's anytime!!
We had soooo much fun. Did I already say that?
