Ashdown Gorge

Another weekend, another opportunity to get the backpacks out. The Covid Pandemic closed church for about 5 months so that really opened up our weekends. :) I have had the sacrament in the prettiest spots around this year. It has been awesome!
This getaway was in the Cedar Breaks area. We went with Roger and Jen and Tom.
It was such a fun hike!
It started out cold and rainy but warmed up quick.

We are a fun group!

Have a I mentioned how much I love hiking with this guy?

We go together like peas and carrots.

Beautiful views. The best thing about this hike was it was all downhill! We left a car at the top and a car at the bottom so it was smooth sailing.

Beautiful Canyon

Fun waterfall by our camp that we cooled off in.

The guys got right in there.

The girls couldn't be outdone.

What a great group of hikers.

It started raining at dinner and Tom got really nervous because he did not bring a tent only a hammock. Lucky for him it cleared up and he had a dry night sleep.

The next day was bright and shiny and perfect for the hike out.

We hiked all day in the river.

Loving it!

Jen and I blending in with the awesome surroundings.

Tom's Thumb and this little waterfall was our side trip up and amazing canyon.

I said it was amazing.

Russell was being eaten by the goblin in the wall.

Russell taking a picture of Tom taking a picture of us. Mind blown.

A lot of rock hopping all day. I even snapped my hiking pole in the rocks :(  We loved the hike thought, it was so much fun.

Oh, ya there was a little up hill at the end and when I say a little I mean super steep. Nice of someone to leave a rope to help us out.
