We had a fun, crazy month of May.
We went it Idaho Falls for a weekend at went to the Idaho Falls Temple open house.
We finished up soccer, we finished up school and now we are ready for summer!
Aiden got his first job! He is going to be a lifeguard this summer at the Orem Fitness Center and the Scera pool!
Jack did a big ecosystem report on the Sahara Desert. He had to write a report and make a display and he did so good he even earned extra credit.
Eliza's 6th grade participated in NOVA. A program to teach them to make good choices, stay off drugs and have a positive attitude. All of the kids had to write an essay about what they learned from NOVA and two kids were chosen to read theirs at the graduation and Eliza was one of them.
Eliza ready to go to 6th grade graduation.
Eliza won an award at the school assembly for a class winner in the spelling bee.
Jack on the top right won an award for the reading hall of fame. They had to read books from all genres to get it.
Eliza got one as well.
Then because Eliza did the Hall of Fame all of her years at Hillcrest she got a plaque, her name goes on the plaque at school and she got a book. As you can see there are only four 6th graders that accomplished this so it was pretty cool.
Eliza was also chosen by her teacher Mr. Harmon to receive the Hillcrest Hawk award. Each teacher chooses two kids from their class to receive it. Her teacher wrote a nice paragraph about her and part of it said "She contributes to an upbeat classroom atmosphere through her enthusiasm, quirky sense of humor and creativity." That's my Eliza!
Then it was on to the actual 6th grade graduation. Here is Eliza with some of her great friends. Sophie W, Paige, Catherine, Eliza, Ella, Gracyn, Isabelle, and Sophie C. These girls are ready for jr. high!!
Eliza and Paige off the bus for the last time as elementary school kids!
Jack is ready for a fun summer. You can tell by his hair!
Can't wait for summer days, swimming, hiking and playing in the sunshine.

Way to go Eliza! That was a lot of awards. I guess you might have to have higher expectations for her. :)
