Kamas Lake

We woke up on Saturday to beautiful blue skies and a gorgeous mountain lake.  The kids were anxious to get fishing so that's what we did!

Here is Jack.  He was our number one fisherman last year...but the fish weren't biting for him this time.

But they were biting for Aiden.  And no, it wasn't that cold, he just thought it was. :)

Here is the big fish he caught.  I think it was a record in the family, the biggest fish ever.

Here is the second fish he caught.  Not quite as big, but still a good size.  And those were the only two fish we got.  We cooked them up for dinner that night and Russell was the only one that ate them.  So we might need to be a catch and release family instead.

Here is Jack with the catch.

We walked all around Kamas lake and on one side were all of these rocks and boulders.

Here is Aiden taken a moment to mediate on the rocks.

I dipped my toes in the lake and it felt so good. Aiden went all the way under, Eliza to her neck and Jack to his waist.  It was cold, but so refreshing.

Here is Eliza by some wildflowers.  The wildflowers were blooming everywhere.  It was so pretty.  After lunch we packed up our gear and hiked up to Lofty Lake.  It was a steep climb, a very steep climb, but we all made it to our second camp.
