Back in September I bagged another peak with my friends. Timpanogos!! It awesome. We got on the trail at about 5am, in the dark and cold...the temperature was in the low 40's. By the time the sun came up it was a beautiful, warm September day. I was a little bit nervous to go up because last time I made it as far as the lake and then I started throwing up and Russell and I had to turn around and come back down. But this time I wasn't sick at all and made it to the tippy top!
It was a long old hike! About a 10 hour day and about 16 miles round trip. We saw mountain goats, and wildflowers, and waterfalls and gorgeous views. We went up the Aspen Grove trail, it was pretty steep, but very pretty. We didn't see too many other hikers because we did it on a Wednesday, which turned out to be a blessing because we had to make a lot of potty stops and there was no real cover. Plus it was nice to have the trail to ourselves. These are my friends that made the trek with me. Joleen, Jo, and Janell. We also had Joleen's sister Jessie and her friend Cami with us. I was also nervous to go with these ladies because they run together three mornings a week, they do marathons and half marathons and are in total shape. And I am not. I wasn't sure if I could keep up! But I managed...thanks yoga.
Here I am on the top of the world! 11, 749 feet up. So yep I bagged it.
