Last Day of Summer

Today was our last day of summer vacation...I don't know whether to be happy or sad. We have had a great summer of playing and being together. But I do have to admit it will be nice to be back on a schedule once again. Aiden told me last week that he is excited for school to start because he wants to do math and have school lunch. He said, "All you ever fix me is sandwiches and at least at school I get pizza and hamburgers and other stuff." Okay.
So today for our final hurrah we went to Vivian Park fishing (kids fish free there). It was great. We went with Joleen, Zach, Kyler Paige, Troy, Becky, Gabe, Jace and Annabelle, Grandma Liston and her mom Grandma Louder. We even caught fish so that made it even better!

Here is Jack fishing. I mainly chased him all around the park while every one else fished. :)

Here are Eliza and Jace. They caught a fish together. Eliza was holding Jace's pole when the fish bit the bait. So Eliza said, "I caught a fish for Jace!" What a nice cousin.

Aiden caught 3 fish! He was wearing his lucky catch of the day shirt. Whenever he wears that shirt fishing he catches one. Kyler also caught three fish. They were so happy.

Grandma Louder loves to fish and we are sooo glad she came with us! She baited the hooks, pulled the hooks out of the fish, and put the fish in the bucket! She is 90 and is still going strong! I am very happy she came with us today the kids loved fishing with her and she took care of all of the yucky stuff. I told her she could take the fish home with her (she loves to eat fish as well), but she said they were too small and not worth the effort to cook them. :) So we gave them to Grandma Liston!!

Then tonight for dinner we had a back to school feast. I pulled out some china and we had a delicious dinner including shrimp. Aiden's favorite. I think we are ready for school tomorrow!
