Yellowstone Part One

We just got back from a fun filled trip to Yellowstone National Park. We try to get up to Yellowstone once a year, and this year we did some new activities thanks to my mom's planning! It was so much fun that I am going to have to do two posts. :)

Here we are at the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone in front of the Lower Falls. This is one of Russell's favorite places. It is very beautiful.

Who needs a playground? Not these guys. All of my mom's grandkids are in this picture. None of them are looking at the camera, but that would never happen anyway! :)

One of the new things that we did this year was sit in the Gardner River right below where a hot spring enters into it. It was awesome. This is my big sister Tricia and her wonderful husband Shane enjoying the warm water. They are so cute.

Here is Russell. The water coming in from the falls behind him is burning hot and the river is freezing cold so it makes a great mix.

This is me and Jack sitting by my brother Curtis and his sweet little girl Maelee. They live in I.F. so we don't get to see them that often, so I love it when we get together like this.

Aiden really loved it, he was swimming everywhere.

This gives you some perspective on what one of the pools looked like. It was right by the rushing river, it was enclosed with rocks to try and keep some of the warm water in and it was beautiful.

We spent three days in the park and we saw a lot of buffalo and elk. We also saw 9 bears (5 cubs) and 5 otter. More on the otter in the next post...
