I'm not sure what Liza is doing here, but it looks like she is enjoying herself!
Here are the speed racers. It really cooled them off yesterday afternoon.
After the fun was had slipping and sliding, the hose moved to the sandbox. I REALLY hate it when they flood the sandbox. I know it's fun, I know they are using their creative minds when they build rivers and towns and then flood them, but I hate the mess. They are covered from sand from head to foot and no matter how much I hose them off before coming in there is ALWAYS sand on the kitchen floor for days. Russell told me he would set up an outdoor shower for them, I think he was kidding but I might make him do it! I was proud of myself yesterday because I just let them be kids and I didn't say anything. They had a blast. Jack woke up from his nap just in time for the sandbox and he had so much fun. So even though I can feel sand on my feet right now from walking on the kitchen floor this morning, I know that they had a fun time and that is worth it. :) So here is to a long summer of slip and slides and sandboxes.

Your such a good mom. You never sweat the small stuff. Wish I could have a "do over" and I'd be more patient when my boys were little. Next time they flood the sandbox, get in with them and exfoliate your arms and legs! Then you would be the coolest mom ever.
that looks like a fun slip and slide! I love the boogie boards! who care about a sandy kitchen floor anyway!:-)
