When I say party at Notch Lake, I mean Party at Notch Lake. We went on a backpacking trip with two other families the Johnson's and Layne and Joleen. It was a 2.5 mile one way trip to a lake with cliff jumping.
This was the crew! 22 of us. We had such a great time. The kids loved having all of the friends thereto play with. I guess it gets boring with just the five of us all of the time...at least that is what Aiden said.
Jack caught a fish!
I love it when the boys let me real one in. The fishing was hot, I think Aiden by himself caught over 20. We only kept a few to eat.
It takes a lot of food to feed that crew. We packed up 8 pounds of pork Russell smoked up and it was all eaten up! Family style feast is not usually how we do it and it was really fun.
The sunset on Reed's Peak was outrageous. I love Russell so much!
Look at it glowing in the lake. What a great picture.
Eliza, Catherine and Paige had a great time. They did great on the hike and loved having a tent all to themselves.
Aiden caught an Arctic Grayling. It was a cool looking fish with a big fin on the top.
Double fish - Aiden and Cole
Russell and I found a great spot to watch the fishing crew.
The little kids on the trip are not so little anymore. Troy, Jack and Sophia
The lake was super low, lower than any of us had every seen it so we weren't sure if we would be able to find a spot to jump in. But they did. Oh and the teenage boys hike in a blowup paddle board. Party I tell you.
Aiden found a super high spot to jump from!
Eliza called this a Backpacker Magazine picture! I agree.
These girls are so much fun. Little jumping beans.
It was an awesome weekend. Dustin Johnson really knows how to have fun. :)
