We decided to go to Joshua Tree National Park for our spring break this year, and we were NOT disappointed! The desert was in bloom with so many flowers.
We took a lot of little nature trails. The yellow flowers were unbelievable.
A Joshua Tree!
Aiden on a rock, with Joshua Trees as far as the eye can see.
The rock climbing was amazing.
The kids found little cracks and caves all over
Aiden likes to boulder
We were catching the sunset, but we needed a wind break so we sat by this wall.

We saw some petroglyphs
Jack found a prickly new friend.
Rocks, blue skies and jet streams...ahhh
The scenery was beautiful
We decided to make it a perfect adventure by throwing on our backpacks and going out into the back country for a couple of nights.
We are loaded up and ready.
Waiting for dinner.
Our first night's spot. All alone next to this awesome rock.
The sunsets were amazing.
Even the cactus's were blooming. Spring was the perfect time to visit.
I am sure glad I picked this guy to be mine. We sure do have a lot of fun together.

Aiden caught this horny toad. We loved its cute little face.
We wished we could have taken him home.
Taking a break
Hi Russell!
Look at the size of those palm trees!
In the middle of the desert!
We went to the Hoover Dam on the way home and it was amazing.
Eliza said at one point, "No more Dam jokes"!
We walked out on the bridge overlooking the dam and that was an amazing view.
Last stop a hotel in Las Vegas. It was great to have a shower, bed and pool to swim in.
