Aiden and Eliza have been on the Orem rec swim team this summer. They swam Monday-Friday from 9-10 all summer long. They just finished on Friday and yesterday was the last swim meet of the summer. Aiden has been doing swim team for two summers now and has never swam in a swim meet. Eliza did the last swim meet and wanted to do this one, too, so we convinced Aiden to give it a try.
Here they are waiting for their races. They both signed up for freestyle.
Here is Eliza waiting for her turn to be called to the pool. They have them sit in these chairs in order so they are ready to walk to their lanes when it is time.
She is ready to race! She did really good and stayed right up with the front of the pack.
Here is Aiden getting ready to dive in. He didn't want to use the block so he just took a knee and went for it.
Aiden got a ribbon for a first place tie in his heat. He was happy that swam in the meet and said that next year he might do another one.
I am glad that Aiden and Eliza both went out of their comfort zone and tried something hard this year. They are both getting to be great swimmers.

That's so great that Aiden did the swim meet and that he did so good. And way to go Eliza, that's awesome that she did it again.
