Today is Russell's 37th Birthday! I think he has had a great birthday weekend. On Friday night Russ and I went on a hot date to some of his favorite spots...The Patagonia Outlet and REI. He bought a couple of things and dreamed about a couple of others. Then we had a delicious dinner at the Gateway.
Saturday Russell and I got away for an hour to do a little snow shoeing. It was great fun to be up by Bridal Veil in the snow getting a little exercise. He also got to buy two new backpacking mattresses that morning so that made him happy. Then we took the kids to Lowe's Extreme Sports and jumped on the trampolines and did crazy tricks. Russell then wanted to top it off with a chicken nugget platter from Chick-Fil-A...and since we spoil our dad we did it. And guess what? All of those things happened before his actual birthday! What a lucky boy! He got presents from us this morning and calls and texts from family. Tonight his mom is making him a birthday dinner!
And I am a lucky girl to have Russell as my sweet husband. We got engaged 15 years ago on Valentine's Day and I can hardly believe it. I am not that old...oh wait maybe I am. :)
