Here is Aiden and his bud Skyler. Don't they look handsome in their scout uniforms. I almost said outfits but Russell wouldn't like that. :)
On your mark...Aiden's is second from the left. He never won a race, 2nd once and the rest were third and fourth place finishes. But his award was best use of color. So he was happy.
Aiden will still hug me in public even if his eyes say get me out of here!
I am proud of my little scout. I was worried that he would be upset that he didn't win any of the races, but he handled it really well. This morning I asked him how he liked the pinewood derby last night and he said he loved it. Then he said, "But I think I want another car next year." Lucky for him that is just what he'll get.

Nothing could have prepared me for the competiveness of the pinewood derby. The Dads were more into it than some of the kid.
I could always tell the cars that got a little too much help from Dad. I'm glad Aiden was a good sport though. That says alot. Cute kid.
Don't you think it's time to get to together? I do.
It was fun to see how each boy had their own different designs, and creativity.
I always had at least two brothers doing a car at the same time. They still talk about whose car was the fastest, best design, etc...
