We went on a long hike all the way to Dark Angel on Friday. Here is our group enjoying the view from one of our resting spots. The hike was a little over 5 miles round trip and the kids all did great hiking the whole way!
Except for Jack he had it easy. Sipping on his bottle on top of Dad's back! :)
Here are my little hikers. The were in the lead the entire way to Double O Arch. They hiked with Megan, Kenny and Hallie and I didn't see them until we took a break at the Arch. Way to go guys. They had such a great time climbing up all of the rocks and exploring.
Out by Dark Angel there is a wall of petroglyphs. Here is Eliza by some of the writing. It was really cool. They don't mark it with trail markers or anything, you just have to know where it is. My Uncle Dean found it a few years ago and has lead the way out there the last few trips we have been on. Thanks Dean!
Aiden crawled through a crack on the other side of this fin and come out this hole. When he came out he said, "Hey Mom, get my picture for the blog!" So here it is Aiden! :)
Here is Eliza and Maelee. Maelee is my brother Curtis's little girl and we don't get to see her enough so it was fun to spend a few days with them. She is getting so big.

We let Jack hike through the Windows and he was slow. But it was so fun to watch him explore everything around him. He loved being in the dirt.
Here is one more picture of Jack. He drew a lot of comments by other hikers on the trail because of his white hair and just how dang cute he is.
We had so much fun. Thanks to everyone for making it a blast. Okay so we did Mesquite in March, Arches in April anybody have any suggestions for May?

wow, Dana! Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. You are so brave to take the kids along. My kids would not do so well, but then again, it's not in their genes to like hiking! (at least from my end) Jack's hair was sooooo long! Holy cow! Your kids are way cute! (and so are you!)
